Stream restoration in southern WV

BASE Environmental Group installed nearly 10,000 linear feet of Open Limestone Channel in this stream in the Paint Creek Watershed to passively treat acid mine drainage. The pH of the stream was raised from 3.5 to 7.0.

Stream restoration in Paint Creek, WV

BASE Environmental Group was contracted to install flow vanes and “J-hooks” in Sleepy Creek, Morgan County, West Virginia, to restore the natural channel and protect the landowner’s pasture from erosion.

BASE Environmental works with government agencies, private companies, conservations agencies, and others to improve the waters and restore the streams of Appalachia. BASE Environmental completed an innovative restoration program in the Paint Creek watershed of West Virginia to treat acid mine drainage (AMD) and restore Paint Creek.
